Individual Presentation A: The AIDS Memorial Quilt: One Library's Vehicle for Awareness (Angeline Pritchard)
To celebrate LGBT History Month, a university library hosted a section of the AIDS Memorial Quilt as a centerpiece for month long programming. Many LGBTQ students on campus had expressed a lack of community and support. With a loss of community comes a loss of history. This programming aimed at educating and helping students feel seen on their campus. Ultimately it resulted in developing many new collaborative relationships, as well.

Individual Presentation B: "Harlem on my Mind: Our Faces, Our Places" (Leta Hendricks)
This presentation discusses the lasting contributions of African American librarians to global literature, library patron service and collection building, during the Harlem Renaissance, 1918 - 1937.  During this time, African American librarians acted as content creators, culture curators, and community conveners. Their actions are  hidden in documents, newspapers, photographs, and scrapbooks. This presentation strives to unveil their story.
