Individual Presentation A: Developing Cultural and Diversity Based Programs for the Campus and Local Community (Connie Strittmatter)
Learn how a regional state university implemented a year-long series of programs and exhibits exploring LGBTQ issues from an interdisciplinary, cultural studies approach. To broaden audience reach, programs were held at both the university and local community organizations. This presentation will discuss how the exhibits and programs were designed and executed, participant response to the programs; and how funding was secured for the project.

Individual Presentation B: Assessing patron perceptions of DEI to inform future directions in a university health sciences library (Jane Morgan-Daniel, Hannah F. Norton, Lauren Adkins, Matthew Daley, Mary E. Edwards, Michele R. Tennant)
This presentation describes a pilot DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion) needs assessment within a university health sciences library. The pilot explored the DEI-related issues faced by patrons through use of HappyOrNot machines, which display one question at a time and four buttons with smiling/frowning faces. Results will inform the Diversity and Inclusion Team's future directions and open dialogue with patrons about DEI within the library.
