The current campus climate is one of intense debate and tension. As campus populations become more diverse, traditionally underrepresented students struggle to succeed. Many of our standards and best practices for cultural competency predate the current turn in rhetoric. Our research explores the development of best practices for cultural competency, examining how libraries can reaffirm these practices in a turbulent social and political climate.
