Individual presentations are approximately 15 minutes each. There will be time at the end for Q&A.

Individual Presentation A:  The Customer is Not Always Right: Third-Party Sexual Harassment in Libraries (Angela Lieu)
Third-party sexual harassment is often experienced by library workers and perpetrated by the very patrons they endeavor to support. This paper reports on the results of an environmental scan designed to delineate the interdisciplinary scope of this issue and inform future research and praxis in LIS on this understudied, but critically important topic located at the intersection of race and gender.

Individual Presentation B:  Assisting Patrons with Disabilities in the Library: Results of a National Survey on Library Employee Training Needs and Attitudes (JJ Pionke)
Although most libraries are American with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant, library employees often struggle with assisting people with disabilities. This paper discusses the results of a nationwide survey that was distributed in fall of 2018 to determine the attitudes and training needs of library employees about working with people with disabilities and using assistive technologies.

Individual Presentation C: The Modernization of Diversity in Academic Libraries (Renesha Chandler)
Diversity can be an all-encompassing term or a trigger word for some professionals and users in academic libraries. A visual aid will be used to present an overview of the development of the term used, its current usage, and the evolution of the term in academic libraries.
