Poster 29: Examining Implicit Bias with Health Professions Students: Librarians Partnering with Faculty

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Implicit bias has a negative impact on health equity.  An allied health library liaison was invited to co-develop a health professions student course unit on implicit bias. Students completed summer reading, an implicit bias test, literature searches for evidence based interventions, and reflection, writing, and discussions. They chose to examine such biases as weight, age, disability, race, country of origin, skin color and gender.
